Get to know me...
Hey there! I'm Kaitlyn, and I'm really excited you're here!
A little bit about me. I grew up in Toronto, Canada and moved to San Diego to study Film Production at the end of 2018. I quickly fell in love with the city (and an American :) and I’ve been here ever since. I love documentaries and mumble-core films, most genres of music (but especially RNB and folk), and am an avid Toronto sports fan.
I was first introduced to the camera through my grandfather constantly taking photos of my six siblings and I, and quickly became hooked on all things digital media. Coming from such a large family made people the constant centre of my world, which is why, to this day, people are my favorite subject to photograph.
Throughout my life I have had a special affinity for art and helping other artists create. I'm such a big advocate for this community that in 2021 I started an organization to help them do just that! It's called State of Art, and you can find more out about it here!
Not my first rodeo...
I worked my first professional photography gig as a 15 year old back in 2013 and haven't stopped since. From portraits to wedding shoots; being able to tell someone's story through my work is a privilege and being trusted to capture some of the most important moments in an individual's life means the world to me. I would be honored to do the same for you.
Currently based in San Marcos, California.

What camera do you shoot with?My primary shooting cameras are a Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6. They are both full frame and mirrorless, giving the highest quality at the fastest shooting speed.
-
How long do I have to wait to get my photos back after a shoot? For a portrait or couples session the wait time is 1-2 weeks. For wedding photography the wait time is 4-6 weeks.
-
How will I receive my photos back? All photos are delivered via an online album. I recommend downloading your photos to your local drive or an external hard drive because I can only guarantee storage up to one year after your photos are taken. If you would like to also receive a USB flash drive with your photos, that is an add-on that I offer for an additional cost.
-
What forms of payment do you except?I except cash, check, venmo, zelle, e-transfer and bank transfer.
-
When is payment due?A non refundable deposit is due upon signing any photography contract to confirm your shoot date. For portrait sessions this is $50. For weddings this is $500. These deposits are subtracted from the total cost of the shoot. The remainder of the payment is due before the shoot date.
-
Do you offer payment plans for weddings? If you would like to split up your wedding payment into monthly payment we can totally make that work. However, the total amount is still due before the actual wedding day. I do no offer payment plans for couple shoots, portraits, or brand shoots.
-
How many weddings have you shot?I started second shooting weddings back in 2017 and have shot over 50+ weddings since. I have a ton of experience to help you feel your best on your wedding day and would be honored to capture your day!
